Bankruptcy advice is everywhere but many companies have been guilty of forcing bankruptcy on people who need a less drastic solution, such as a debt managment plan or IVA. Be sure to get solid bankruptcy advice before making an hasty decisions.

Yes, that is one issue that puts me off. I can't understand how people will willingly operate and work in these places. I realise that we are not the only animals who eat other animals, it is an established part of the cycle of life. The other meat-eaters can chase and kill their prey fairly and with dignity so as the most developed creatures livin more…

I've been a vegetarian for a long time now and it suits me well. I originally did it because of the hideous treatment meted out to factory farmed animals. I no longer wanted to be complicit in that awful business by eating their produce, so I stopped. The thought of eating meat is now utterly repugnant to me.

Nice work, best of luck with the choices. I have been a non-mammal eater for over two weeks now, but that is only cos I am in India. I am looking forward to consuming some mammal when back in Europe, probably.

Indeed, hurrah for Germany again! World leaders as usual, while us Island Monkeys remain unable to summon the creativity to imitate.
Bad press - rightly so, it's a shambles. Beef should also have been recalled I think, is there any press on that? Sky News ran a headline "illegaly high levels of dioxins found in Irish beef". I know if I more…

The Belfast Agreement provides for all-Ireland governance in various guises. For example, a North-South Ministerial Council was established as a forum in which ministers from the Irish government and the Northern Ireland Assembly can discuss matters of mutual concern and formulate all-Ireland policies in twelve "areas of co-operation", such as agri more…

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the UK building regulations but I'd take a guess that things are getting better? While those in a position to choose where they live can obviously move elsewhere, authorities/governments have to do something about their responsibilities to provide shelter to members of their communities, and I think putting up lo more…

You forgot to mention building being about standards. Unfortunately, because the standards of building which are permitted (they always build to the minimum they can get away with) are so poor in the UK and have been for years, we have little chance of getting on top of these problems, even if we put up hundreds of thousands of the shitty little b more…
